Pause, Reflect, Recharge: Announcing IFMA’s End of Year Staff Recharge Week

Staff Recharge Week - Modal -ifma site (4)

As the year comes to a close, we are excited to announce IFMA’s Staff Recharge Week from December 24, 2024, to January 1, 2025. This week is dedicated to giving our entire team time to pause, reflect and recharge in preparation for an exciting 2025.

What is our Staff Recharge Week?

IFMA’s Staff Recharge Week is our way of prioritizing the well-being of our team members. During this period, all IFMA staff will be off, allowing everyone to step back, rest, and return refreshed to continue serving the global facility management community.

What to expect during this time:

  • Team on pause: Our team will not be available during this week, and responses to all inquiries will resume on January 2, 2025.
  • Resources at your fingertips: IFMA’s Knowledge Library, Engage Forum, online courses, and other online resources will remain accessible for self-service needs.
  • Questions about membership? Review our FAQ here.

How you can prepare:

  • For any urgent matters or upcoming renewals, we encourage you to contact us before December 20, 2024, to ensure your needs are addressed before our break.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we embrace this moment to recharge. We look forward to returning in the new year with renewed energy to support your success in 2025.

So how do our employees plan to make the most of their break? We asked a few of our staff members and here’s what they said:

Joshua Amos, Components Engagement Specialist

"I plan to use the additional time off spending it with people I am usually too busy to see or because they live too far away. I will probably head to the farmhouse and spend time with my cousins and extended family that live in that area.  I have not spent much time up there since my grandmother died, but my mother now has a house there making it a lot more convenient to visit. I also hope to be able to see a movie or two in the theater while on vacation."

Clarissa Arguelles, Exhibit Operations Coordinator

"I plan on spending time with family and friends, as well as catching up on tv shows I haven’t seen yet, and Lego sets I have yet to build!"

Jessika McBride, Training Support Manager

“I plan to make the most of the week by intentionally unplugging from work and fully focusing on being present with my two kids. I’m planning to turn off notifications for many of my apps, so I can really disconnect and be in the moment. We’ll have plenty of movie and game nights together, enjoy some quality family time, and I’m also planning to attend a couple of yoga classes to recharge. I’m also excited to catch up on some reading that I’ve been putting off. It’s going to be the perfect balance of relaxation, connection, and personal time!”
